The Multimedia Lab (mLab) provides current students, faculty, and staff with the space, equipment, software and support to meet your needs regarding video, audio and photography. The mLab can assist you whether you have experience in digital media or have never picked up a camera or used video editing software.

Loca­ted in the Terrace Room Interim Library, the mLab is open and staffed over 100 hours per week (every hour the library is open) to assist you in the production of multimedia research projects.

What can I do at the mLab?

Software Available

• Patrons can check out our JVC Everio GZ-MG750 standard definition video cameras and our Zoom H1 recorders to capture audio or a tripod for up to 3 days.
• Learn how to transfer recorded video, edit and output content to a DVD or publish the final product to the web.
• Users can also scan documents and film negatives and print exhibition quality photographic prints on our Epson R2880 ink jet printer (maximum of 8.5 x 11 inches).

Faculty

Though the entire campus community is invited to use the mLab, faculty should be aware that Academic Technology Services delivers a full range of services designed to meet the specific needs of faculty.
