Library: Distance Education: Electronic Reserves
Most professors make class
readings available electronically via Electronic Reserves. (You will need the free Adobe Reader software to view electronic reserves).
If your class has material on reserve, follow these instructions to access the materials:
- From the library's home page, select Find Course Reserves.
- Search by instructor name or course number
- Find your instructor's name or course number in the list of results. Click on the appropriate entry to see a list of all the titles on reserve for that course.
- Find the item you wish to view. If the item is available on electronic reserve you'll see "*ELECTRONIC COPY AVAILABLE* " in the right-hand column.
- Click the title of the item, and the article should open automatically. (Note: Adobe PDF documents can be slow to download.)
Using Adobe Reader:
Printing: Use the Adobe Reader print icon, not the print button/commands in the browser (e.g. Internet Explorer):
You may choose to print the entire document, or just to designate and print selected pages. Note that Adobe PDF documents can be slow to print.
Troubleshooting:
Adobe Customer Support offers technical guides to help troubleshoot problems with Adobe Reader.
Many problems with Adobe Reader can be resolved by downloading the most current version of the software.
