About the Collection

To meet current and future needs of the University’s academic community, resource selection and collection maintenance are focused on building and sustaining collections, and securing access to resources that complement and support the degree programs offered at the University. The Library has over 220,000 print volumes and provides access to over 17,000 eBooks, 120 databases and approximately 20,000 online journals. In addition to the library’s electronic and physical collections to support of the curriculum, the Library also maintains over 400 rare books and manuscripts housed in Special Collections.

The majority of the Library’s collections are housed on the Lower Floor in fixed or compact shelving. Reference, Popular Books and Videos, and new books are shelved on the Main Floor. Much of the Library’s Special Collections are normally housed in the Library’s Special Collections room. Due to a planned reconfiguration of the Special Collections space, these resources have been placed in storage and are unavailable.
