Availability

Library Chat is available 24/7. UP Librarians and student reference assistants monitor Library Chat during the library's busiest hours.

When UP librarians and student reference assistants aren't available, librarians from Answerland and partner libraries are available to answer questions through Library Chat.

Library Chat questions will be answered on a first-come, first-served basis. If staff are busy helping other patrons, it may take a bit longer to answer your question.

Chat Safety

For your safety, please do not send sensitive information (such as your password, ID #, etc.) via chat. Also, do not send or download files through chat unless posted by a librarian, as unsolicited files may contain viruses.
