Laptops

The Clark Library has laptops which current members of the UP community can borrow at the library Service Desk.

There are forty-four laptops available for either 72 hours (with one renewal) or for semester-long use.*

  • Laptops are loaned out on a first come, first served basis.
  • Laptops cannot be reserved online and renewals are subject to availability.
  • Laptops are library equipment and have overdue fines and replacement charges (more details).
  • Laptops can be used while on campus or off campus. However, make sure to log onto the laptop with your UP account before leaving campus or it will not work from off campus.

* Semester-long laptops are for students only.

Faculty and staff may also contact Audio/Visual Services (503.943.7774; av@up.edu) to inquire about short-term laptop use.

Software: The laptops have Internet browsers, Microsoft Office, and access to the virtual desktop (for course-specific software). Other software, such as nursing testing software, can be downloaded.

Other Equipment

In addition to laptops, the library checks out other types of equipment, including chargers for phones and laptops, mobile hotspotsheadphones, whiteboard markers, scissors, and calculators
