Giving to the Library

The Clark Library stands at the center of intellectual life at the University of Portland. With our extensive collections, technology and tools for innovation, and dedicated faculty and staff, the Library is a learning commons that offers hundreds of students each day a place to gather, share ideas, create, and learn. You can make a real difference by supporting the Clark Library. Thank you for your generosity!

Your donations help us to continually explore new ways to support students. For example, the Library is the only place on campus that loans laptops and other technology equipment to students, ensuring they have the computing power they need. Recent PilotsGive donations funded 20 additional laptops for this vital program! Donor generosity has also helped us provide more accessible spaces and furniture to students with a variety of needs and learning styles. From technology and accessibility to providing leadership and professional development opportunities for student workers, your donations are central to expanding our student outreach.

Dr. James Covert

The Covert Family

The family of Dr. James T. Covert, founder of the University Museum, recognized the need for the UP Museum to increase its reach by giving the greater community a glimpse into the history of the university. Through their generous donation, the library has created the Dr. James T. Covert Gallery and the Digital Museum.
